CATHERINE COETZEE (GRAY)

director

Catherine Coetzee (Gray) obtained her BProc Degree in 1997, and was admitted as an attorney in 1999, and as a Conveyancer in May 2003.  She won the 2004 Business Woman of the year, Regional Achievers Award, for the Division of East London. Catherine is passionate about Alternative Dispute Resolution in commercial and family law disputes. As a Mediator, Catherine has completed the following courses : FAMAC Mediation, LEAD Court Aligned Mediation, Pollocks Sectional Title Mediation. Catherine has obtained her Certificate in Arbitration and has been accepted as an Associate Member of the Association of Arbitrators (South Africa). In addition, she has also qualified as a Business Rescue Practitioner through UNISA.Catherine has a wealth of experience, with more than 20 years’ experience as a legal practitioner.

Director

Tsepang obtained his degree at UNISA and was admitted as an Attorney during March 2021, whereafter he was appointed as a Director of the firm. He has been with the firm since August 2016. Tsepang primarily focuses on Family Law, Divorce, Evictions, Debt Collections, Commercial Law, and Property Law and also has single-handedly spearheaded two new departments in the law firm, Medical Negligence and RAF. He is currently focusing on being admitted as a Notary and Conveyancer.

Professional Assistant

Mihlali is a Professional Assistant at Gray Burmeister Inc. He Graduated with a BCom law degree in 2015, and thereafter a LLB degree in 2018, both from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU). Mihlali joined the firm in August 2019 and works under the supervision of Catherine Coetzee.

CANDIDATE ATTORNEY

Wellem is a Candidate Attorney at Gray Burmeister Inc.  He secured his LLB degree from the University of the Free State (UFS) in 2021. Willem joined the firm in 2021 as a Candidate Attorney and works under the supervision of Catherine Coetzee.

TARYN COLLINS

CONVEYANCING SECRETARY

Taryn started with GBInc in November 2007. She was initially employed as a conveyancing secretaries assistant, assisting with various duties including, transfers and bonds.  From 2008, Taryn focused on transfers and has been managing the firms transfers since. From 2013, Taryn took over management of the firms bonds and as a result, heads up the conveyancing department under the supervision of our Conveyancer, Catherine Coetzee. Taryn has a vast amount of experience specifically in conveyancing having held various roles in this department for the past 12 years.

DEANNE ENSLIN

Collections Secretary

Deanne has been working for Gray Burmeister Inc. since April 2016, however, has more than a decade’s worth of experience in collections. Deanne heads up the collections department and oversees its day to day operations working closely with Mihlali Labase.

Jessica Tresidder

Litigation Secretary

Jessica is a senior litigation secretary assisting both Catherine Coetzee and Tsepang Male. Jessica has been in this role for a period of 4 years, however, was previously a secretary in our collections department. Jess has 8 Years collective experience in both Magistrate’s Court and High Court Litigation.
